I have the X12 installed in a 2012 Toyota Camry. The radio reception is bad. I have only found 1 station that is not filled with static, and sometimes, it has static. I have checked the antenna plug 3 times to be sure that it is plugged in correctly.
Also, the microphone has a lot of noise when making calls. You hear what sounds like road noise and engine noise and even squeals on the other end. We have changed the microphone position a couple of times with no change. Can you help, please?
Are you sure you're grounded properly? A quick continuity check will confirm it or not.
I thought it was, I will check that tomorrow. Thanks!
I checked the ground and I did get continuity. The ground connection was tight. I checked all of the connections again and the radio connection is still poor. I would appreciate any help.
I was wondering if adding an antenna booster would help the radio reception.
@George Neville
Hello.
For your information, adding an antenna booster may help the radio reception.
I had similar issue with FM reception after installing. Here is what I did to resolve.
Settings>Car Settings>Factory Settings>0000>Base Setting>Radio Auto Antenna toggle it to on position if it is off.
After doing this I received more FM stations.
