  For future searchers, the suggestion in the email is Please go :Settings>Car Settings>Factory Settings(0000)>App Settings>Rear view>ON>Front veiw>OFF

  Ok I will give that a try, but please remember that I am talking about the FRONT camera, not the REVERSE camera.
